Marking the Day of the Aviation Institute "Moma Stanojlović"

The military ceremony on the occasion of the Day of the Aviation Institute "Moma Stanojlović" was held today in the area of this military institution in Batajnica.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, representatives of organizational units of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces and economic entities with which the Institute cooperates.
As part of the ceremony, a wreath was laid at the memorial to pilot Momčilo Momo Stanojlović, whose name the Institute is proud to bear, and for excellent results in their work, the most prominent individuals were awarded recognitions and awards.
The day of the Aviation Institute "Moma Stanojlović" is marked on July 1 in memory of the day when, in 1916, an airplane workshop was formed at the airport Mikra near Thessaloniki, whose tradition the Institute inherits.
