Meeting with Military Bishop Dositej

Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has received the bishop in charge of military chaplains in the Serbian Armed Forces, Vicar Bishop Dositej of Lipjan.
During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and Serbian Orthodox Church, work results of military priests and their assistants, as well as contribution made by the Chaplaincy Service for ten years since its establishment in the Serbian Armed Forces.
General Mojsilović has assessed that this Service is fully in the function of developing, building and maintaining operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and that it has made significant contribution to strengthening the morale of their members.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Savo Iriškić, Head of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1) of the General Staff, which includes the Department for Religion as the highest body of the Chaplaincy Service in the defense system.
The Chaplaincy Service has been organized for members of the Serbian Armed Forces to exercise the freedom of religion, strengthen spiritual and moral values and foster military virtues and patriotism. Members of the Serbian Armed Forces participate in the activities of the Service of their own free will and conviction, respecting the obligations which arise from military service.
