Tactical Training of Cadets in Serbian Armed Forces’ Infantry Units

At the South Base and Borovac Training Ground, cadets in their final years of the Military Academy are implementing the study content of the subject ‘Tactics of Infantry Units’ this week.
Tactical training aims to train future SAF infantry officers to command units in their basic roles, to see the specifics of introducing a maneuver unit into combat, organizing attack and defence, and providing fire support to one’s unit.
In the Serbian Armed Forces’ infantry units cadets are building on the knowledge and skills they acquired during their Military Academy studies. Staying in the field is an excellent opportunity to check their competence and initiative in carrying out tactical scenarios and for the SAF officers to share their experience drawn from engagement of the infantry battalion in different tasks.
Special forms of lessons in the units and establishments of the Serbian Armed Forces — such as the tactical training conducted this week — are a mandatory part of education of cadets of the final years of the Military Academy, during which they gain knowledge, skills and practical experience that will help them prepare in the best possible way for their initial officer roles.
