Attendees of Advanced Security and Defense Studies Visiting General Staff

Attendees of the 14th Advanced Security and Defense Studies, School of National Defense “Field Marshal Radomir Putnik”, have paid a study visit to the Operations Directorate (J-3) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff today.
The visit was conducted in accordance with the advancement program so that the participants could gain insight into the place and role of this directorate in planning the use of the Serbian Armed Forces while implementing the tasks of the second mission of the Serbian Armed Forces - participation in building and safeguarding peace in the region and the world.
Senior officers, civil servants and members of the foreign armed forces attending these studies were welcomed by Head of the Operations Directorate, Major General Gordan Pavlović, after which they were briefed on the organization, responsibilities and priority tasks of the directorate, as well as the activities undertaken during the preparation and engagement of members of the Serbian Armed Forces in multinational operations outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia.
The students had the opportunity to visit the memorial room of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade, which preserves the memory of the history and war record of this unit, with the highlight on its heroic resistance to the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999.
The Advanced Security and Defense Studies represent the fourth level of special training programs for professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces and civil servants, and are implemented to prepare them for high-level duties in national security systems.
