Day of Army Service and Infantry Arm Day

Military ceremonies conducted in the garrisons and garrison places of the Serbian Armed Forces today marked the Day of Army Service and Infantry Arm Day, in commemoration of November 16, 1914, when the Battle of Kolubara began.
The central ceremony on the occasion of the Day of Army Service was held at the Army Club in Niš, where awards were presented to the best individuals and key achievements in building the operational and functional capabilities of this service of the Serbian Armed Forces were highlighted.
Summarizing the results of the work of the Army in the year behind us, it was pointed out that the members of this service, with their professionalism, dedication in the implementation of assigned tasks and competence confirmed in numerous exercises and live shootings, showed that they are an unshakable support for the security and sovereignty of our country.
On the occasion of the holiday, wreaths and flowers were laid on the memorials dedicated to the participants of the liberation and defense wars of Serbia, and the military orchestra from Niš performed a promenade concert on the city's streets and squares.
