Specialist Training of Artillery Soldiers

Specialist training of artillery soldiers serving in the Army Training Centre is underway in the barracks "General Pavle Jurišić Šturm" in Požarevac.
After successfully completing basic individual training, soldiers who are deployed at the Center are being trained as operators on self-propelled multi-barrel launchers of 128 mm M77 "Oganj" missiles and 152 mm M84 "Nora" gun-howitzers. The goal is to be able to perform combat operations and correctly apply tactics and procedures in the implementation of combat firing from these artillery systems, independently and within the services.
The training program includes contents from artillery weapons and equipment, artillery tactics and fire training, and special attention is paid to combat operations and procedures when occupying a firing position, proper occupation of elements for firing and work of service after issuing a firing command.
The specialist phase of training soldiers for military service ends with a test of ability to perform tasks within their military occupational specialty, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and work of units of the Serbian Armed Forces until the end of military service.
