Training of Professional Soldiers in River Flotilla

The training activity is underway on the River Flotilla ships in order for professional soldiers recently admitted to this unit to undergo training for additional duties.
The training activity on the Danube in the vicinity Novi Sad is being executed by soldiers of the navigation, anti-mine and naval artillery specialties, so as to be able to perform efficiently other roles within naval battle stations, in addition to their primary one.
In line with their specialties, the soldiers are being taught how to use naval navigation-information systems, how to communicate in joint navigation as well as how to operate mechanical and acoustic sweeps and naval anti-aircraft guns. The initial training stage takes place at the anchorage, whereas the second phase, which includes navigation and scheduled firing, rounds off the whole training process for the soldiers’ new roles.
Professional soldiers’ additional training, conducted in the River Flotilla on a regular basis, results in the unit members being prepared for different tasks of naval crews. That is the way to improve resistance, resilience and overall combat readiness to carry out missions on inland waterways operations.
