Tactical Training of Serbian Armed Forces’ Reconnaissance Units

At the Serbian Armed Forces’ training grounds in the vicinity of Niš, members of the Armored Reconnaissance Battalion have undergone tactical training needed to engage in Army operations.
This is an important segment of training of professional staff of the unit conducted with the aim of preserving and improving the ability to collect intelligence data in different tactical conditions.
During field training, they practiced the tactics and procedures during observation and data collection, as well as organizing patrols and ambushes, using the unit’s basic combat asset — BRDM-2MS armored reconnaissance vehicle.
Special attention was paid to training professional soldiers who have recently been admitted to the unit and appointed as drivers and gunners on fighting vehicles. In addition to performing reconnaissance duties, they also trained to handle the armored reconnaissance vehicle properly and safely and to use it in combat.
Training in all conditions, conducted by members of the Armored Reconnaissance Battalion throughout the year, is instrumental in sustaining the unit’s ability to provide reliable and verified intelligence data, which are of immeasurable importance for successful operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
