Safest Military Drivers Awards

Traditional MOD and SAF Safest Drivers Awards for the year 2023 have been presented at a meeting of the Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants, held at the “Topcider” Barracks in Belgrade today.
Sergeant Major Jovan Medojević from the 72nd Special Operations Brigade was pronounced safest driver in the NCO category, while Lance Corporal Života Jerinić and civilian Goran Radojević from the Central Logistics Base were awarded in the category of professional soldiers and civilians. Over the past year, they had reached the highest mileage with military vehicles for the transportation of passengers, dangerous liquid and oversized equipment, without any traffic accidents or violations.
The best drivers were handed awards by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, who is also President of the Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants.
The discussion at today’s meeting covered the state of traffic safety in the Republic of Serbia, with special reference to the safety of military drivers, while adopting conclusions and measures to improve further traffic safety.
The meetings of the Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants take place twice a year, and, beside the most responsible officers from the SAF transportation service, there are also representatives of the MOI Traffic Safety Agency, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade and Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad who are involved in its work.
