Day of the 98th Air Force Brigade

A military ceremony was held today at the "Morava" military airfield in Lađevci on the occasion of the Day of the 98th Air Force Brigade, which is marked in memory of November 28, 1949, when the 98th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Wing was formed.
As part of the ceremony, a parade of brigade units and a tactical-technical assembly of aviation assets were organized, awards were presented to the most prominent individuals and wreaths were laid at the memorial at the airport.
Reflecting on the achieved results in the year behind us, it was pointed out that the members of the 98th Air Brigade completed all tasks and gave their full contribution to the improvement of the operational capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence.
Today's ceremony was attended by the Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, local government and representatives of institutions with which the unit cooperates.
