Day of 98th Air Force Brigade

A military ceremony has been held at “Morava” Military Airfield near Kraljevo today on the occasion of the Day of the 98th Air Force Brigade, which is marked in memory of 28 November 1949 when the 98th Fighter-Bomber Air Force Regiment was formed.
On the occasion of the holiday, there was a display of aviation arms and military equipment belonging to the unit, key achievements in building operational capabilities were presented, awards were handed to the most successful individuals and wreaths were laid at the airfield’s memorial.
The holiday celebration has been an opportunity to highlight once again a high level of competence of the 98th Air Force Brigade members, confirmed during implementation of all assigned tasks, as well as impressive results in equipping and modernizing weapons and military equipment, which significantly improved the operational capabilities of the unit and Air Force and Air Defense on the whole.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commander of Air Force and Air Defense Brigadier General Brane Krnjajić, representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, local government bodies, Serbian Orthodox Church and institutions this Brigade cooperates with, including numerous guests.
