Tuesday, 11.3.2025 | International Co-operation
An international biological weapons and toxicology course is being held at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training in Kruševac this week, attended by members of the armed forces from nine countries.
The training involves members of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Kazakhstan, United States of America, Slovakia and Montenegro. The goal is to improve and expand their knowledge of biological weapons and toxicology and practice not only using military equipment for protection against the effects of biological weapons, but also biological detection, identification and biological decontamination.
In addition to training in specialized study rooms in our Center, an improvised laboratory was also established for the purpose of the course, where participants will practice responding to terrorist attacks using biological agents.
The training at this international advancement course is delivered by instructors from the CBRN Training Center and experts and visiting lecturers from the Military Medical Academy, Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences and University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies.
Implementation of this and similar international courses, as well as widespread interest in training at our center shown by the armed forces of partner countries, are the best confirmation of the instructors’ expertise and training quality in the Serbian Armed Forces in the CBRN field.
