Visit by Chief of Defence Staff of Hungarian Defence Forces

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has met in Belgrade, today, with Chief of the Defence Staff of the Hungarian Defence Forces General Gábor Böröndi, who is on a two-day return visit to our country at the invitation of General Mojsilović.
At the meeting held at the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, where a welcoming ceremony was staged for the Hungarian delegation, the discussion covered the security situation in the region and the world and specific activities of the two armies intended to strengthen capabilities, interoperability and regional stability.
In the conversation, it has been stated that bilateral military cooperation is intensive and comprehensive and that its development should be continued in the future, in all areas of common interest. Joint activities of the land and air components of the Serbian and Hungarian militaries have been singled out as cooperation priorities.
It has also been emphasized that the professional engagement of the Hungarian contingent as part of the International Security Forces in Kosovo and Metohija contributes to the security situation in our southern province and to the strengthening of good neighborly relations between Serbia and Hungary.
General Böröndi’s visit reflects continuity in the implementation of high-level activities of the two militaries and is in line with the agreement at the highest level to intensify military-to-military cooperation.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff visited the Hungarian Defence Forces in late 2023. Such high-level bilateral meetings contribute to mutual understanding and trust and provide a significant impetus to the improvement of cooperation in the field of defence.
