The multi-day exercise Winner 2025 has been held at the Serbian Armed Forces’ Simulations Training Center in Belgrade, during which members of the 3rd and 4th Army Brigades practiced conducting military operations in a simulated environment.
This is a computer-assisted simulation exercise, carried out with the aim of improving the ability of unit commands to plan, organize and conduct defensive and offensive combat operations.
In accordance with the given scenario, officers and NCOs practiced staff procedures in the process of making military decisions and carried out tactical scenarios awaiting them potentially on the battlefield. The exercise was intended to check the knowledge of the principles behind the use of forces in operations, cooperation and interoperability with units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as cooperation with civilian elements.
Along with a daily analysis of functioning of commands in the decision-making process at all levels of command, the emphasis has been on a comprehensive and critical approach in proposing the use of units to carry out complex tasks in the AO.
Computer-assisted simulation exercises represent an important form of practical training of the SAF commands, since they afford an opportunity for staff officers and commands to train themselves in planning and executing combat operations with minimal expenditure of material resources.
