Training of Operators on Modern Telecommunication Systems of Domestic Origin

At the Signals and IT Training Centre of the Serbian Armed Forces in Gornji Milanovac, operators are currently receiving their training on mobile commutation nodes which represent integrated systems of telecommunication and information equipment.
It is a two-month training attended by professional SAF members within the telecommunication service from the units equipped with these modern systems.
During the training, the attendees acquire necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills for independent work on a mobile commutation node which comprises radio, radio-relay, cable-line, commutation, computer, software, energy, intercom and sub-system of crypto protection.
The mobile commutation node has been developed by the Military Technical Institute in cooperation with the Telecommunications and Information Technology Directorate (J-6) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Technical Overhaul Institute "Čačak", Technical Test Centre and end users in the Serbian Armed Forces. The mass production of this system which integrates devices and technology of renowned domestic and foreign manufacturers takes place in the "Čačak" Institute.
Successful completion of the operators’ training and equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with these systems which has begun this year will improve considerably the capacities for using modern telecommunication services in commanding the units and examining the whole operational image of the battlefield.
