Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Lieutenant General Đokica Petrović, commander of the Training Command, visited today the training of December 2018 generation of soldiers on voluntary military service at the IT and Signals Training Centre in at the “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” military barracks in Gornji Milanovac.

- The year 2019 is the year in which the Serbian Armed Forces will continue to strengthen, but in particular to take care of the training of its members. It will take care not only of the training of professional members, not just on training those on voluntary military service, but also of the training of our reserves. It has been a long time since we did it on a larger scale, and it proved to be really necessary – Minister Vulin said and pointed out that we will raise the training to an even higher level.

As far as further equipping is concerned, the Minister of Defence emphasized that we are going to acquire all that is already known to our public, but especially by the means that we produce ourselves, from the communication systems to the complex combat systems.

- Only what we produce ourselves is essentially our own; this is something that nobody can deny, and the defence of the country must never be left to political mercy or disgrace, but it must be such that we alone, regardless of the world around us, are capable of equipping the army and defending ourselves - Minister Vulin concluded.

The Commander of the Center, Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Dražinac, emphasized that today in the IT and Signals Training Centre, part of the training of December 2018 generation of soldiers on voluntary military service was presented, where the minister could gain insight into the beginning of the training, competence and the way of operation of the Centre.

During today's visit, there was demonstration of installation of radio relay stations for vehicle operation, study of teleprinter keyboard up to the speed for the third radio-teleprinting class, as well as the capability of modern telecommunication devices in the mobile component of integrated communication systems.
