Day of 126th ASEWG Brigade Marked

At the Banjica Barracks in Belgrade, a military ceremony has been held today on the occasion of the Day of the 126th ASEWG Brigade, marked in memory of 12 October 1992, when this unit was formed.
The holiday was a good opportunity to present the parade of the Brigade units, summarize results of the recent period, award the most successful individuals and lay wreaths at the memorial in the barracks, intended for this unit to preserve the memory of those killed in NATO aggression in 1999.
In reference to the achieved results, the emphasis was put on professionalism and expertise of the Brigade members and acquisition of the most modern radar systems, which satisfied the highest standards and improved significantly the capabilities for the execution of intended tasks of controlling and protecting the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
The ceremony has been attended by Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, Serbian Orthodox Church, local government bodies and institutions this Brigade cooperates with.
